to Work
I currently serve on the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee for District 15, which stretches from Potomac thru the Ag Reserve and into Clarksburg and am seeking another 4 year term. I was raised in the District and am a proud MCPS Alum. I am an avid proponent of the UpCounty and its diverse community. Thru my work with a variety of coalitions, I have fought tirelessly to ensure that people of color and immigrant communities feel that they have a voice that is committed to representing them within the Democratic Party.

The Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee (MCDCC) plays a unique role in our local government. The MCDCC is not a legislative body, though its members are elected officials. The MCDCC is the governing body for the Democratic Party in Montgomery County.

The MCDCC serves five main functions:

Operating as the Montgomery County Democratic Party

Getting out the vote across Montgomery County to elect Democrats across MoCo and Maryland

Building the precinct organization by appointing officials (block captains) in each voting precinct

Connecting Democratic voters and candidates so voters can make more informed choices at the polls
-
Nominating people to the state legislature when there's a vacancy
