Hi, I'm Saman!
WHERE I COME FROM
I currently serve on the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee for District 15, which stretches from Potomac thru the Ag Reserve and into Clarksburg. I was raised in the District and am a proud MCPS Alum having graduated from Quince Orchard High School. I am an avid proponent of the UpCounty and its diverse community. Thru my work with a variety of coalitions, I have fought tirelessly to ensure that people of color and immigrant communities feel that they have a voice that is committed to representing them within the Democratic Party.

I am fortunate to call North Potomac home, where my husband and I are raising two young children who attend the same elementary that I once did.
A THRIVING CAREER
I am a lifelong servant leader that believes privilege is not a socioeconomic status, but it is the ability to impact change. I began my career working in the U.S. Congress, and worked in the Obama Administration while attending Law School. After Law School, I worked for Coca-Cola in emerging Asian Markets on Foreign Direct Investments.​

I am a small business owner that runs her own law practice, where I counsel small to medium size businesses in Montgomery County and across Maryland on a variety of Corporate and Business Law matters. Thru this work, I have worked with businesses and non-profits first hand in addressing the challenges and risks that many often face while operating and the need for strategic and hands on experience for necessary policy reforms.

I also support a variety of philanthropic and political causes. I sit on the Board of Directors for Interfaith Works, and am a member of the Maryland Democratic Asian American and Pacific Islander Diversity Leadership Council. In 2020, I was a Biden Delegate to the DNC Presidential Convention.
